Apricot seed oil
This natural oil is produced using the highest quality of "sweet" apricot kernals, and has a fine, nutty-almond taste with a pleasant marzipan note. It is a perfect addition to exotic salads, sweet and sour dishes, aromatic sauces (e.g. for rich game dishes) and desserts. In order to extract the full aromatic flavours from the apricot stones, they are toasted prior to pressing. The apricot originates from Central Asia, where it has been cultivated for thousands of years. Evidence confirms that the apricot (Prunus armeniaca) was grown in the central European region around the Danube as early as the First Century AD.
